Both Bracknell Town senior Ladies teams will play and train out of Larges Lane once the grounds redevelopment is complete, club chairman Kayne Steinborn-Busse confirmed on Monday night.

The redevelopment – currently underway will see an artificial surface installed at Bracknell Town’s ground and work should be complete by the end of September.

Work will also be done to modernise the clubs facilities off the pitch with the current buildings completely refurbished and open to the public 7 days a week.

Speaking to FootballinBracknell when the initial redevelopment plan was announced, Mr Steinborn-Busse said: “Our aim is clear, if you are a young boy or girl living in Bracknell we want you to join us and be proud of the club and its great new facilities. We will be able to offer a pathway from under 6 right up to senior football and beyond with our walking football. The facilities will be one of the best in the country for a non league club, especially at our current level and will be the first 3G surface with a stadium in the county.”

What it means for the ladies teams in 2016/17

Until the ground is ready for habitation, ladies team training will continue over the summer at Birch Hill Recreation Ground before moving to Wellington Health & Fitness Club artificial surface for September and October.

In terms of matches, the ladies first team have arranged to play all their opening fixtures away in the Southern Region Women’s Premier League meaning they will likely have a backlog of home fixtures to get through.

The reserve team will continue to play at Syngenta Recreation Ground until the first team games have evened out, but it is the clubs intention to play as many games at Larges Lane as the calendar allows in 2016/17.
