Reading FC Women are still waiting on their first win of the season after Isabelle Linden’s late goal cancelled out Melissa Fletcher’s second half opener for the Royals.
The match saw City dominate in front of goal with 23 attempts to Readings 9 but it was the home side who took the lead when Emma Follis’s cross found Fletcher who headed home.
Royals goalkeeper Mary Earps was definitely the busier of the two, our photographer Neil Graham described her performance as ‘dominating’ but she was finally beaten on 75 minutes when Linden headed home.
Great atmosphere at the game today! Thank you to everyone that came to watch and support us… you were tremendous 👏🏻
