The Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League have postponed all Sundays fixtures owing to Storm Ciara

In a tweeted statement, the league said they had contacted all clubs by email: “Important message. All TVCWFL clubs have been emailed by the league to say all games have been postponed for tomorrow due to Storm Ciara and weather / travel warnings.”

This will of course include the Slough Town vs Harefield United which Football in Berkshire’s new women’s football reporter Abi Ticehurst has pegged as one of the big clashes of the day.

Shortly before the TVCWFL announced the news, the Southern Region Women’s Football League had announced all their games would be off.

Higher up the women’s football pyramid, the FA Women’s National League have not issued a blanket postponement but have said it is up to clubs to decide, they have however advised clubs not to travel: “Clubs will make the final decision based on safety in and around their respective areas and journeys.”

However, the FA WNL clash between Maidenhead United and Poole Town has been postponed.

At 9:50am, Reading FC Women tweeted that their FA WSL clash with Bristol City had been postponed.
