If you’re wondering how all our Berkshire sides fit into the women’s football pyramid, we’ve got your full run-down of all seven tiers across the county.

Tier 1 – Reading Women play in the top flight of women’s football in the FA Women’s Super League since their promotion to the league in 2014. The Royals finished 7th in the 2020/21 season, they’ve made some impressive signings in this summer’s transfer window including Tasha Dowie, Gemma Davies and Faye Bryson.

Tier 2 – There are currently no sides playing at this level.

Tier 3 – There are currently no sides playing at this level.

Tier 4 – Maidenhead United Women will continue their campaign in the National League Division One South West.

Tier 5 – Southern Region Women’s Football League, the Premier Division will see Ascot United Ladies & Woodley United Ladies compete once again for promotion.

Tier 6 – Southern Region Women’s Football League – Division One South will hold host to the newly promoted Eversley & California Ladies in their first season in the league.

Tier 7 – Home to our highest number of Berkshire sides as it plays host to the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League, the divisions are as follows.

Division 1 – Caversham United Women, Mortimer Ladies, Tilehurst Panthers Women and Wargrave Women & Girls FC.
Division 2 – Slough Town Ladies
Division 3 East – Ascot United Ladies Reserves, Holyport Ladies and Slough Town FC Women.
Division 3 South – Caversham AFC Women, Eversley & California Women’s Reserves, Newbury Ladies Development, S4K FC Berks County Ladies, Taplow United Ladies, Thatcham & Newbury Town Ladies, Tilehurst Panthers Women Development and Wargrave Womens Reserves.
Development – Burghfield Ladies, Shinfield Rangers Women, Thatcham & Newbury Town Ladies & Girls and Wraysbury Village Ladies.

Though not part of the pyramid, we can also include the Reading Royals Futsal Women’s team who play in the FA National Futsal Series, whilst the newly formed Women’s Development Team play in the Hampshire Futsal League.
