Who is Windsor’s best-ever footballer? – Have your say

#WindsorMonth is here and as part of our celebration of all things football in the town, we’re asking a couple of big questions.

We’re looking at the great players produced by the town – and my oh my there have been a few – we’re looking at the big moments, the celebrations, the iconic kits and grounds from over 100 years of football in the backyard of King’s and Queen’s.

It’s simple really, who is the best footballer to come out of Windsor and what made them so good? Whether it’s an ex-Windsor & Eton star or a Thames Valley Sunday League hero, we’d love to have your thoughts – click here to leave your comment or scroll to the bottom of the article.

Project Bark‘ is a Football in Berkshire initiative to learn more about the people, the places and the footballing history of the Royal County. Initially a two-year project, it will focus on the main areas of Berkshire from Windsor to Thatcham, Wokingham to Maidenhead – with plenty of villages thrown in for good measure. The project will bring together the best that Football in Berkshire has to offer in writing, audio and visual content with a range of guests, interviewees and research. You can keep up with the project and everything else Football in Berkshire by subscribing for free here.
