Roger Herridge nominated for Bracknell Football Award

Binfield manager Roger Herridge has been nominated for an EPC Bracknell Football Award in the category of Manager of the Season.

The Binfield boss led his side to a seventh placed finish in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division this season and fielded a number of the clubs youth and reserve team players as well as picking up some of the best local talent.

The crowning achievement of the season for Herridge though was undoubtedly breaking his Binfield cup final duck. The Moles beat FA Vase winners Thatcham Town in the Perpetua Press Floodlit Cup at the beginning of May thanks to a Sanchez Commock double.

One nomination reads: “Roger has once again taken a side full of youngsters to a top eight finish and finally ended his cup final drought in the Floodlit Cup. His sides are always hardworking and always learning. He’s also one of the most vocal managers on social media and ensures and is always good value whether you agree or not!”

Another simply states: “Brilliant season with his young team.”
