Mixed fortunes for our sides tonight in the Third Round of the Perpetua Press Floodlit Cup tonight as Bracknell Town reached the quarter finals while holders Ascot United crashed out.
Bracknell won 3-1 at Larges Lane after extra time thanks to goals from Kensley Maloney, Gavin Smith and Seb Bowerman – the latter two coming in extra time, while Ascot’s rotten luck continued as another late goal – this time in the 93rd minute for Brimscombe & Thrupp – saw them beaten 1-0 at Ascot Racecourse.
